As we are call to be “in the world,” as Christians, Here on the coast we should be aware of preparedness for our storm season. We have been so blessed to have several quiet years after our bouts with Ivan and Katrina. Some of the clicks listed below are to help you update your family plan and be responsive to our community. CERT training is a step up from our Early Response Training and is a 20 hour course. There are courses being taught this summer at Orange Beach and one could be offered here at GSUMC. Please let Servant Ministries know if you are interested. CERT training will: - Educate individuals about Disaster Preparedness for
hazards that may impact their area; Disaster Medical Operations (First aid, triage and

That will provide people in Baldwin County with 60 units of blood they would not have otherwise have available. We didn’t quite make our goal, but we will try again in the fall. So get ready to roll up that sleeve again Thanks also go to the ten folks who attended ICS (Incident Command Training) in Robertsdale. This training helps us in any emergency situation. The training is also available online @ training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/Is/is100.asp and is recommended for those preparing to respond. each Wednesday morning prayer warriors gather to lift up a current list of needs and concerns . They have been a supporting backbone for four years. All ages are welcome.
All helping hands welcomed to bring the joy of Jesus to our children…we must take care of the lambs
Tuesday & Thursday volunteers are always needed to minister to the needy in our area. Food pickup, organization and cleanup help are always needed.
SM needs help collating and updating training manuals and storing supplies
Need three people this month to work on our local information for preparedness.
Provide a scholarship ($160) for an inner city child in Mobile to go to Blue Lake. Contact SM for more information.
